Hans Nelson is the Cyber Policy Advisor for the U.S. Mission to NATO, responsible for shaping policy on cyber and digital issues. Previously, he served as a Deputy Director for the FBI’s National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force. Before that he was a senior Department of Defense liaison to the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division and advisor to the Assistant Director. He has over a decade of experience in the field of cyber, counterterrorism and intelligence. Mr. Nelson holds a Masters of Linguistics, with a computational emphasis, from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and an adjunct professor at George Mason University, lecturing on Cybersecurity issues.
